As a new member we went to the annual meeting in Bellevue to become more aware of owner options and to see how the business is run. It was there that we met the founder of this website and discussed how the election of officers would proceed. Also learned how we had sabotaged our effort to elect Myles by not checking his name in all 3 elections. Now we know, but there are 100's of other owners that don't and wouldn't or couldn't meet in Bellevue. So a big challenge is to find ways to make people aware of this website.
Previous posts wondered how to advance an issue onto the next ballot. Generally, the BOD has the authority and responsibility to make that happen and also create the agenda at the annual meeting. Therefore, getting the 2 independent officers to network with the rest of the board could result in advancing some item to be voted upon. Yes, it should start very early on and the line of communication kept open all the way up to the mailing of the voting materials.
