...and it appears the Bylaws were approved to be updated. Their email campaign appears to have been successful.

There goes Worldmark The Club. It will become more and more like Wyndham. The WM BOD has never been concerned or interested in maintaining our uniqueness, separate personality, or charactor from Wyndham. When you walk around a Worldmark Resort note how little you see marked Worldmark vice Wyndham. Heck even the floor mats by the doors and elevators say Wyndham or Wyndham Vacation Resort. How many questions on a post stay survey say or ask about Worldmark vice Wyndham.

We do not even own our Club's name. It is Federally registered to Wyndham Resort Development Corporation.

Disappointed in vote total. With the different Facebook groups, past proxies and that expected better turn out.

With only two seats expected incumbents to be re-elected but expected higher vote total.

Now I know how Hillary felt

WYN is very good at holding on to power. They use a combination of adding new credits every Summer, the mis-characterization of the bylaw changes, the giveaway to get more proxies and of course the almost complete control of information. It is very frustrating when it is very obvious to me and yet the vast majority doesn't care or doesn't understand. :(
The subtle changes of course are another "tool" they use. Don't throw us frogs into boiling water, a hot tub on a roof deck is all we need.

Agree.

Wyndham will continue to manipulate our club to their advantage until such time as thousands of WorldMark owners become involved in the control of our Club by voting in our annual election.

Sadly, the majority of WorldMark owners do not participate in our annual election process.

But given how some have described that the Club is in such decline, why don't those members see the same thing and stop voting for the status quo?

FACT: We have two independent BoD members - Bob Morrison and Cecilia Cuevas. You can trust that they are independent BoD members, because WMOwners Inc. cast proxy votes for them in the 2011 election. Both of these owners do not have any current or previous financial ties to Wyndham, and meet the IRS and SEC criteria for independent board members.

Of the 229,000 Accounts look at how few are actvely involved in this Forum or Facebook. We have owned since 2002 yet we did not become informed and involved until a few years ago. Also if a person only joined in the last couple years they might not know any better.
