I think there's another thread from a couple of years ago, but they keep changing.

Solvang used to have a pushy one but that was eliminated in the recession and hasn't returned. Marina Dunes does not.

In CA: Bass Lake and Pismo don't have sales desks.
Oceanside, Windsor and Angels Camp all have sales offices that are excessively pushy.
Clear Lake had one, it went away, but I think they have brought it back, but it's easy to avoid.
I don't know about Big Bear or the San Diego resorts. I believe San Fran still has theirs.

In OR: no sales at Running Y, Eagle Crest or Schooners. Depoe, Gleneden and Seaside all do.
In WA: Camlin, Birch Bay (which is the sales office for Canadian resorts), and Leavenworth (which is newly added) all have sales. Discovery Bay used to but it hasn't returned. None at Mariner Village. Surfside has a new 'resort host' who drums up business for the Long Beach resort sales desk. She's easy to avoid, though she keeps moving her desk around.

in Nevada: South Shore and Vegas Blvd are the two pushy ones.

In ID: Arrow Point does not. I don't remember any at McCall either so there may not be a sales office in ID.

UT: St George was exceptionally annoying; not taking no for an answer in person or by phone and harassing my guests anytime they were in the office. Wolf Creek: the guy chased me out into the parking lot not believing my no; that's about when I stopped even talking to them. Bear Lake didn't have one and it's too remote to make sense they would add one there.

CO: Steamboat was also very pushy. It was such an unpleasant experience that I probably won't go back.

Sue

Anaheim has sales and if you stay at Dolphin's Cove, they will push you to go to Anaheim for a sales pitch.

Oceanside -- merciless
Gleneden -- "serviced" by Depoe Bay
Birch Bay -- a team that has got more pushy over the years. It has been reported that early morning wake-ups have occurred.
Long Beach -- Incorrect information given twice. Closer was rude. Basically, sit down and listen to me, or you don't get your gift.
Schooner's -- never heard any mention of an update.
Indio -- we were invited to an update. Told at the desk we were INELIGIBLE. - Asked to speak to a Manager, and it was the Manager who had told us we were ineligible. LOL... we still had our meeting to ask our questions and were given the gift.

Have been basically free of updates for two years. We go when we want information, but it is absolutely fab. to be on the do not market list.

Kihei has a sales department.
We attended a presentation there in February this year.

As Sue said, it keeps changing. This would be a good project for somebody who can volunteer a little bit of time to make a more comprehensive list, by updating and researching. :) Please keep your recollections coming.

A mod may initiate a stickie and refresh it periodically after owner inputs...

Seaside and DP are only two OR coastal.
Oceanside is an ok one

Or, a regular member may do a post and a mod may make it a sticky. It's how non-mod stickies have been done. Anybody may post in any sticky (unless it's locked). That's what we meant by the value of this forum coming from volunteers. There are just a few mods, with assigned mod duties, compared to 15,000 regular members, and 30,000 topics.

Big Bear and all San Diego resorts have a strong sales presence. At Inn at the Park, they send you to another place for the "update."

WMO can always use a volunteer to manage a project like this...and others.
