looks like trendwest is hiring resort staff in estes park, colorado
http://www.trendwest.com/careers.jsp?loc=co#job761

and also in san francisco

http://www.trendwest.com/careers.jsp?loc=nca#job751

funny to be hiring resort staff unless they got a resort there.

Pretty funny. So much for it being speculation.

Well, we have identified the SF resort location - Hotel Juliana.

How about Estes Park? Any guesses on the resort location of that one?
(BTW - I found out where it is...)

I'm going to guess that the Estes park location is the big thompson timberlane lodge

http://216.239.57.104/search?q=cache:_1 ... west&hl=en

its located at 740 moraine ave. on the county assessor, the bldg owners are listed as curtis thompson and patricia ann thompson

http://www.co.larimer.co.us/assessor/qu ... r=R1349481

according to the county clerk, a warranty deed was executed between curtis thompson & patricia thompson (grantors) and trendwest resorts (grantee0

Great find! I had been reading city council minutes and building permit applications from the city of Estes Park website and hadn't come up with anything.. I'll see what I can find on this place, now..

Ohh, you are good! =D> That was one of the final pieces for me, but I could only find references and pieces of that letter. I could not pull up the entire letter. How do you do those cache searches??

The Big ThompsonTimberlae Lodge was listed on the MLS for $6.95 million dollars. (MLS#0298980) Below are links to some more general info about the location:

Looks like a GREAT addition!

tonya,
i started with a google search of "estes park" trendwest
first hit was a link to the letters to the editor page for the eptrail newspaper. i clicked the link, and did a search for "trendwest" on the page. eptrail had already updated the page, and the letter to the editor i was looking for was no longer on their page, so i clicked 'back' on my browswer to the google results page, and clicked on 'cached' at the bottom of the google link. mostly luck and timing that it was still there. in a couple of weeks, google will be refresh and the link will be dead.

=D>

Looks like a great location. They'll need some help to come up to WM standards, but I'm sure it will be a well used resort once it's open. Too bad it's so few units. I hope TW expands the property.

Great sleuthing gang!

I still find it amazing how we find out these things.
I hope TW management feels free to come on the new owners forum and announce these gems. Wouldn't that be great? Talk to the developers???

I think I saw on the TW forum a discussion about this, too lazy to look to verify. But I think that CA said the deal was done and the ink was still wet.

Then again, after reading all this and checking out all the links provided I kind of forgot what was being talked about to begin with so I could be wrong

I think they do come here to find out what is going in Trendwest-land! This site seems to have more up-to-date information about these things... :brightidea:

LOL - the word is out over on the TW4M. They're still saying to "wait for the official announcement", though. Why? It's a matter of public record now as shown in the Larimer County filings.

I will say that I'm surprised, and impressed, that they didn't just delete all the replies and sweep it under the rug.
