Pros:    Rooms were good size. Beds were a little high getting on to but we were able to sleep fine.
Cons:   Lamp switch broken off, stucco next to fridge broken, tile broken on bathroom floor, towel rack hanging ready to fall.
Review: The Resort has a sterile feeling to it more like a hotel or motel than a resort. Didn't use the hot tub or pool but they looked very small.
The parking was fine as to the number of spaces but each space seemed rather small. It was rainy but the rain did not cause any problems at the resort.

Pros:    Sony flatscreen HD TV in living room and flatscreen TV in bedroom. Lots of places to eat in the area.
Cons:   Size of parking spaces in the underground parking lot. Support poles are in every other parking space.
Review: Our stay was from Feb 14-18th. We arrived at the resort about 2:00pm and the room was not ready. We went and ate and did some grocery shopping. When we returned it was ready for us. Check-in went very smoothly. Our room was on the top floor (4th). The room was very clean and everything was in good working order. We loved the HD flatscreen TV's. Went to hookup the internet bridge that we got from the front desk, but there was no electrical plug anywhere near the table. The cords would need to be streched across either the walkway or the doorway into the bedroom. Not good planning. Slid the table to the open area on the other side of the room. Right next door is an El Toritos mexican restaurant and on the other side of that is a Benihana. Within a mile or two there are many restaurants to chose from. One that we went to that was very good was Seau's. Owned by Jr Seau, who used to play for the San Diego Chargers and now plays for the Patriots. It is a sports bar type of restaurant. Food was very good. Food ranges from sandwiches to sushi to steaks, etc. The only problem we encountered in our stay was the underground parking lot. Every other space has a large support pole in it. If you did not get one of the center spaces, it was very difficult to park in them. We had a midsize car and it was extremely tight. I guess what bothered us the most was the inconsiderate drivers that would park over the divider lines, some right down the middle of the lines, making it difficult for others to find spaces at all. Overall, we really enjoyed our time and would definitely stay there again.

Pros:    While the location of this "resort" is not pretty, nor even in a particularly good neighborhood, it is very convenient to many San Diego attractions and important locations. It's only a few minutes from the airport, the football stadium, Sea World, the Zoo, and not too far from the baseball stadium. It's very close to the freeway (not necessarily a great thing if that's your view, and it very well may be, depending on your location in the building.) Being close to the football stadium also makes it close to the Red Line which will take you into downtown and/or the east county. There are also many restaurants nearby and several large shopping centers/malls just across the freeway.

The interior colors of the common areas and the units is very nice. The lobby is lovely, the hallways are nice. They have great colors and lighting. Very esthetically pleasing.

We were in a 2-bdrm unit and the master bedroom was not large, but not tiny. There was ample room for the king-sized bed, and there were 2 closets. There was one just inside the door from the living/dining room, and another toward the bathroom. There was a nice dressing area right outside the bathroom where the 2nd closed it located. Overall, it was a nice layout.

The unit did have nice LCD TVs in the living room and master bedroom.

There was no laundry in the unit, but there are washers and dryers on most of the floors near each end of the building. They are free and are full sized.

There are ample elevators that will take you from the parking lot to whatever floor you're on. They are numbered and the parking is under the building.

The staff was quite friendly, especially the resort host. I politely instructed him that we were not to have any sales calls. He was very gracious and made a note of that. We did not receive any calls.
Cons:   This is hardly a "resort." There is one small pool and a tiny spa. My pool at home is roughly the same size and our spa is much larger. Unlike most WorldMark resorts, this one does not have barbecues on the balconies. It is stated in the check-in material that it is a matter of certain regulations, but in reality, there is simply not enough room for them on the small balconies. We were in one of the larger units and had a larger balcony. There was a small table and 4 chairs, but 2 of the chairs were stacked on each other and away from the table. There is no way there is room to put them around the table. Well, maybe no harm because there's no view from any place in this resort. Our unit was on the back side of the resort which looked at a rather ugly, steep hill covered mostly with weeds. Way above the "resort" was an old, ugly house perched on the hill. Views from the other side of the building would be of the El Torito and the freeway.

The furniture is rather small and sparse, probably due to the attempt to create an illusion that the units were not so small. It didn't really work. You can hardly miss the fact that the units are pretty small. In the master bedroom, there are 2 small night tables and one very small chest where the TV is. There is a place for the DVD player and 3 small drawers. There is little room for drawer-type items.

The dining area is about the size of a postage stamp and had 4 chairs. The unit sleeps 6, but they didn't even try to put 6 chairs there. If people were actually using the table, nobody would be able to move around in the kitchen or get to the master bedroom.

The parking is underground which is pretty nice, but the stalls are very small. We drove a small car there and we were glad we did. Anything larger than a compact overflowed any parking space except for the handicapped spaces. Additionally, the gate on the exit of the parking garage was not working and was left open. It's not the very nicest neighborhood so I would feel much better if the gates were locked.

There are barbecues, but only 6 for a complex of 167 units. They are obviously on the ground floor. On the up side, at least they're pretty large. There is no landscaping there. There are a few planters, but lots of cement.

Review: The Ugly:
The kitchen, if you can call it that. It is so tiny that there was no place to even put the silverware tray. There was no drawer large enough so they put it in a cupboard. Most of the pots and pans were in the oven because there was so little room to put them in the cupboards.

There are 2 air-conditioning units, one in the 2nd bedroom and one in the living room. There is not one in the master bedroom. There is a very small vent from the living room a/c into the master bedroom. It was cool/cold when we were there so it didn't get tested much, but we did a short test. It seemed like you would have to freeze out the folks in the living room area in order to adequately cool the master bedroom if that was even possible. Additionally, because of the air diversion thingy placed on the top of the a/c unit in the living room to the master bedroom, you have to get on your knees in order to get to the knobs to control the living room a/c.

The bed in the master bedroom was way beyond firm; it was hard. It was hard and we could feel the springs. We both slept poorly and woke up sore.

The sound insulation is almost the worst we've experienced. The noise from the small child upstairs was almost unbearable and we could hear anybody and everybody in the hallway.

Last, but certainly not least is the fact that this resort costs 50% more to stay in than Oceanside, Big Bear, and other standard credit resorts, but has fewer and/or lesser amenities:

    No individual BBQ
    No in unit Washer/Dryer
    No fireplace
    Small rooms
    Tiny parking spaces
    Miniscule kitchen
    Painfully hard bed
    NO view
    Very small balconies
    Small pool
Single, very small hot tub for 167 unit (No WMOwners GOO there!)
