Pros:

Great location in the heart of Vancouver. Fair exchange rate makes prices a little eaisier to live with. Do not need a car once you get there. Great places to eat. |
Cons:
A lot of street noise at night. Smaller than normal units. 15 percent taxes on most all purchases. |

We have been to Vancouver 7 times and will return again and again. Note the staff is great and very helpful. The units are smaller than normal as with most of these condas in Canada a 1 bedroom is about 550 sq Feet (yes 550) and a 2 bedroom is about 700 sq feet. I do not know how the many people who live in the units do it everyday. The Canadian is located in a tall building and I believe Worldmark owns units on floors 18 to 26. The rest of the units (floors) are privately owned. Other than the size there is no air conditioning and the rooms get very warm. However when the windows are open in comes the street noise and it can get loud. There is access to a weight room and swimming pool across the street at the Sheraton (also at the Sheraton is a great place for Sunday brunch (discount coupon front desk) and a nice wine shop)and it is a nice place. There is a new market (market place)within 4 bocks of the resort and it is an nice store, plus there is a 10% discount at the front desk. One of the nice things about this resort is that once you get there your rarely need your car, we buy a 1 day to one week transportation pass (depending on lengh of stay) and this pass is good on all most all land transportation (all but cabs). We will sometimes buy a 1 day pass for the water taxis and spend the day just riding them. Grandville Island is a must, it is a nice place to buy some food, plus other items, but it is also a nice place to view the many forms of art work. There is an Art school on the island and the students show their work in the many shops. We usually rent kyacks on Grandville Island and spend the day on the water. Another must is Stanley Park, we usually rent bikes and ride through the park, again discount coupons can be found at the front desk. On of nicest things about Vancouver are the many different restaurants. Just take your pick, but most import is to be willing to try new and different foods as Canada has all of that. Another fun trip is the water taxi to Lansdale Landing (I hope i got the name right - there is information at the front desk) this is like pike place market in Seattle and worth the trip. Also do not forget Chinatown one of the largest on the west coast if not the largest. Stop at the visitors center and ask about tours. We took one that cost $5 each and the guide took use all over Chinatown (wear your good walking shoes). Next it is off to Gastown, one of the older parts of Vancouver. A new theater was built (not open the last time we were there) and is said to highlight the history of Vancouver. We will go there next time we are in town. Finally within 4 blocks on the resort is Robson Street, this street is like a trip to Europe for shopping and good deals can be found. We have enjoyed our many trips to Vancouver and are sure you will too. |

Pros:
Very nice units in the middle of Vancouver between Stanley Park and Downtown with easy access to the walk along the seawall. Compact, but very comfortable. |
Cons:
No murphy bed, but given the small size typical of urban sites, that is understandable. |

I like this resort alot. The location is excellent for whatever you want to do. I enjoy walking along the seawall with ferry trips across to Granville Island etc or walks out through Stanley Park. On the north side along the water is a walk with signs about the history of the area taking you over to the old Expo site. There's also good shopping in a variety of neighborhoods from the Native American art to Chinatown. The view of the lights of the city from this highrise is excellent as well. No car is needed, since everything is in walking distance. We took the train up from Seattle and took a cab to the resort. The trip up along Puget Sound if very scenic and the only negative to that route was the late arrival back in Seattle. The border crossing was very easy with about a half hour stop for customs. In the winter when the roads can get very icy, this is a great option. |

close to EVERYTHING, no car necessary, awesome view, great fireplace, nice and quiet. i stayed here with a co-worker on our spring break (4/2003) and then got married and stayed for the first week of my honeymoon 2 years later (3/2005). LOVED it. would definitely come back. |

Cons:

there isn't a gym or pool here...you have to go across the street (small street) to the wall center sheraton. however, we were so busy exploring the city and walking all over the place that we didn't miss it at all. |

I recommend this resort to anyone wishing to visit Vancouver. Staff were extremely helpful, and health club across street at Sheraton is a huge plus! Units are in A-1 condition. Photo is from unit 2003 dining area window. Check out coupons they offer - excellent savings at nearby restaurants and market. I am looking forward to visiting again in the next year. |

Pros:

Great location and no noise from other units. Appreciate the use of the Sheraton Athletic Center across the street. Kids would be reluctant to go w/o pool. |
Cons:
Camera's/security warnings in parking garage can be alarming, but I've never had any problems. |

This stay was a 2 bedroom on our way up to Whistler. I've stayed here more than any other Worldmark. This is my favorite urban location. Love the units. Miss the newspaper they used to leave at the door in the am. I usually walk everywhere downtown. |
