Pros:    Very nicely done. Good landscaping. Nice room quality. Very clean.
Cons:
Review: We had a second floor two bdrm unit. We could see the Lazy River, swiming pool (one of two) and the round spa from our deck. We loved the lazy river and the spa. We didn't get over to the other pool as we were only there for 2 days. The whole unit was very nice. We were by the construction zone but they hadn't started any of the construction so we had a very relaxing, although short, time there. Since we sometimes drive down to the Phoenix, AZ area, I would try to get bonus points to stay here for a couple of days as this is a little better than half way to Phoenix for us. We really enjoyed the staff -- they were very nice and helpful. They were finishing up the deli that is in the center of the inner complex and I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Even if you don't take in the Vegas cassinos and nightlife, this would be just a great place to vacation.

Pros:    Very nice complete condo with activities, very nice pools, business center (open 24/7)with 5 free internet computers, nice exercise room (also open 24/7), front desk open 24/7, even an onsite deli/grocery/coffee store. A nice quiet retreat away from the main action yet close enough to see and do it all.
Cons:   Bed was softer than I would prefer. Not within walking distance of the main Las Vegas hotels, but free shuttle can get you there in 10-15 minutes.
Review: Just got back yesterday from the WM Las Vegas. We didn't really spend much time there since I was taking my mother to see sites and some gambling (I didn't gamble at all except at the airport waiting to come home; I lost $0.05 in the nickel slots with my $1 deposit into the machine.) As a very nice way to end our trip, I was able to use our Alaska Airline coupons to upgrade to first class for free. My mother has never flown first class and although it was only a short flight, it made her trip even better.

The rooms were nice. We stayed in building 5 on the 1st floor. However, the 1st floor is above the parking garage, so we weren't on the ground floor. We had a nice view of the "lazy river" pool and circular hot tub. On the other side of the lazy river pool was a much larger pool as well. The pools are supposed to be heated to 80 degrees. I gave my mother the master bedroom with king bed and I took the second bedroom with twin beds. I thought the beds were on the soft side and mother agreed. We prefer a slightly more firm bed. All the typical WM amenities (W/D, full kitchen and utensils, electric grill on the very nice sized odd shaped patio, fireplace, etc.)

There's a business center with 5 computers for owner use free of charge. There's also one station to plug in your own laptop. The exercise room was very nice with two TV's, I think 4 treadmills, a couple of elliptyical cross trainers, a couple of bicycles, and some weights equipment. There's a very nice sized rec room with pool tables, foosball table, and a coupl of ping pong tables, all adjacent to the game room with about maybe 6-8 arcade video games. Just outside the main lobby next to the pool is a newly opened deli/grocery/coffee store with a few grocery items (cereal, milk, soup, pop, water, chips, baby food, etc.) as well as sandwiches and coffee drinks.

We had reserved a room at the WM Las Vegas on Spencer street and I called reservations just before we left for the airport in the weird chance something opened up. Well, I couldn't believe something opened up on the day of our arrival, but sure enough a 2 bedroom was available. I upgraded (costs more credits at the new WM las Vegas), so I was assured that an audit already in place (by the WM reservationist) would refund my Spencer street credits within a couple of weeks. I stayed at the Spencer street resort (just before the remodel) and stayed at the new Vegas resort (just a little after it initially opened) and my personal preference is the new WM Las Vegas. Thus, I was really glad the 2 br became available although it still makes me wonder how it could open up on the day of arrival, but not there the previous day or two?

I'd add more but didn't really take any notes this time. Our WM Las Vegas resort is really nice.

Pros:    Great unit with marvelous kitchen, washer/dryer, more than the comforts of home.
Cons:   Strange configuration puts the bedroom next to the street, and you have to walk in the street to get to the office/pool, etc.
Review: This is my second time at the WM Resort in Las Vegas. I was by myself, just here for some relaxation. I rented a car this time, as I find the shuttle schedule a bit inconvenient (although I did use it once, the first night, when I was too tired to drive but still wanted dinner).

The one-bedroom was in Bldg. 7, Rm 7307, which faces the parking lot and has a totally unremarkable view from the balcony. I had been warned by the website and a follow-up letter that the room is considered substandard, in that construction was going on in that area. They weren't kidding, as the trucks woke me up at 1 a.m. Unfortunately, since the bedroom faced the parking lot, the noise was rather loud and it was difficult to fall back asleep. And at 6 a.m., when the sun rose, strong sunlight came in through badly fitting shutters, waking me up again. The next night I fixed that by sleeping in the Murphy bed in the bedroom -- no noise, no light. And the Murphy bed was very comfortable.

Super kitchen, nice living room, nice T.V. with a lot of channels and DVD player. Great little fireplace with a timer. Smallish bathroom, and I must say I hate bathtub showers with plastic curtains. But that's a small criticism. It was nice to find extra towels under the sink, and a new thing since last time I was here: pool towels also under the sink. You no longer have to get them from the pool staff.

I went to the Lazy River pool on Tuesday morning at about 9:15. I was the only one in the pool, but for some reason, they were cleaning it as I was in it. Couldn't they have done that an hour before? The pool staff, as usual, was quite chilly, as was the lazy river pool itself, even after I'd been in it half an hour.

They called me at 9 am the day after I checked in to tell me about the Monday morning meeting with the manager (I have to wonder if they didn't wake some late sleepers). The manager was Robert -- who was our van driver the last time we were there! -- and he is pleasant, knowledgeable, just a really nice guy. Nice little spread of bagels and cream cheese, too.

I have always wondered why you have to walk in the parking lot to get to many of the other buildings. When I stayed in Bldg 4 last August, we had to walk in the back alley to get to the elevator, and now, in Bldg. 7, I had to walk in the parking lot. There is no way through the interior of the complex, or even a sidewalk on the outside that led to the building.

But with these very small criticisms aside, this is an outstanding resort, perfect for the vacation within the vacation. I will be back.

Pros:    Really nice rooms and the pool is great.
Cons:   Had nasty comment made by one of the life guards and our guests were the ones to hear the comment. Guard was complaining that people were at the pool while the pool was being cleaned. No one was in the pool only sitting in the chairs.
Review: We really enjoyed the Vegas stay. The shuttle that takes you to the strip was a great way to get there and not have to worry about parking. Some of the owners left lots of trash around the pool which was very sad to see since there were several trash bins available. We stayed in the one of the new sections and the rooms are beautiful. The other couple with us were facing the busy street but said they couldn't hear any traffic.
Can't wait to go back.

Pros:    Big unit with plenty of room to spread out. Lazy river and large pool were great.
Cons:   Resort grounds, lobby and units are beginning to show a lot of wear and tear. Dirty carpets, stained furniture (in both lobby and in unit), dirty handprints on living room wall.
Review: I just returned from Las Vegas, staying in a 3 bedroom penthouse in Building 3. This was my second visit to WM Las Vegas (the first was about 2-1/2 years ago)however it was my guests (I had my 3 sisters with me) first visit to ANY Worldmark resort. Needless to say, I was excited about "showing off" this great resort based on my previous experience and especially excited to be staying in a penthouse.

Well, first impressions are lasting impressions and none of us were impressed with the lobby area (dirty and stained furniture, litter on the floors, too much space given to TW sales, etc.). Did NOT have the feel of a resort - or even upscale hotel - at all; more like a sales office.

The parking garage in Building 3 had garbage piled around the dumpster (which, I think, is not even a dumpster but is for maintenance supplies) and smelled terribly. Of course you had to walk right by it to get to the elevator lobby. The walkway of Building 3, 4th floor was also littered and dirty...from the elevator to the front door of the unit. Looked like drinks or liquids had been spilled along with chewing gum.

As for the unit - the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were great since we were four women, and the size of the unit itself was wonderful. Big living room and dining room along with 1 huge bedroom (master) and 2 others of very good size. TV/VCR/DVD in every bedroom and the living room. The condition of the unit, however, was not what I expect at all from Worldmark. The carpet was terribly stained in the living room and dining room, some of the furniture in the living room had stains and the chaise lounge in the master bedroom was stained and dirty as well. There was a large dirty handprint on the wall of the dining room that you couldn't miss and the floor of the lanai (which was huge) was dirty and stained as if someone had spilled grease on the cement.

Also, there wasn't a single extra towel in the entire unit and no towels for the swimming pool either (both of which I've come to expect at EVERY WM resort I've stayed at). There were no bathrobes in any of the bedrooms (standard in penthouses - or at least every one I've stayed in) and no coffee filters in the kitchen (standard in every unit I've stayed in). Also never got my complimentary DVD rental as a Gold Member.

Don't get me wrong, I love Worldmark and have been a member for over 12 years and have enjoyed each and every resort that I have been to. In fact, just prior to traveling to Las Vegas, I had enjoyed a 4 day stay at Mariner Village in a 2 bedroom top floor unit. It was (as always!) fantastic! Resort grounds, check-in lobby and unit were all in tip-top shape (just like the last time I was there which was almost 5 years ago!)

Again, I have NEVER been to one our resorts as poorly maintained as this one. It looked worn down and tired and in definite need of sprucing and cleaning up! I was just SO disappointed in the maintenance and upkeep of this particular resort - especially since I wanted to "show it off" to my sisters and impress them with how wonderful Worldmark is. It was markedly changed from my last visit 2+ years ago.

To sum it up, I personally will think twice before staying at WM Las Vegas and I DEFINITELY would not waste my credits on a penthouse unit.
Next time I go to Las Vegas I will most definitely give WM Spencer Street a try. Perhaps a smaller complex with less people being run through it will show less wear and tear.

Again, I LOVE Worldmark and travel several times a year on long vacations and several times a year on short two-three day trips. I was just expecting something more from both the resort and penthouse based on my previous experience at LV and my previous experiences staying in penthouse units.

Pros:    Great resort and great location. Close enough to the strip to enjoy it, far enough way to escape it. Shuttle bus a real plus, wish they would expand the hours. We had room 8407. Nice and quiet. Gee Bees (?) across the street was a blessing. Cheap food with large portions and a 1 minute walk away. Open 24 hours. On site massage!
Cons:   Bus quits at 1am, Vegas begins at 1 am. The bus will take you to the store at 10:30 and picks up at 11:30. Not enough time to get groceries in one stop meaning you need to make the trip daily if you intend to eat at the resort. Sales calls. Front desk staff not very helpful when conceirge was off duty.
Review: This is a perfect spot to call home base and explore the area. Vegas bus system is great and cheap. You don't need a car.

Pros:    nice, relaxing grounds & pools
Cons:   timeshare sales pitch galore, small balcony w/ small grill, exit and entrance from resort to Blvd., city too adult for children
Review: We liked resort location, pools, and rooms. We hated the sales pitch from the minute we arrived. In fact, we couldn't even receive our parking pass until we stood in line while they bombared everyone. We were forced to listen to her speech before she even handed over our pass. Once she realized that we were not interested in going to the 90-minute presentation then she was through with us and moved onto the next guest in line.
The balcony and grill was to small to entertain. We had other friends and relatives in Vegas at the time and would loved to have had a few over for a small BBQ to show off our resort to them.
There is only one exit/entrance to and from the Blvd. with a right turn only exit. They have 2 other exit/entrances on either side of the resort but they are obstructed. They should consider taking down barriers.
Next time we return to Las Vegas we won't be going as a family. The last time we were in Las Vegas the city was bragging about being geared towards families but I think that time is over. It seems to be all about adults and it is hard to hide that provacative, nude, and pornographic "entertainment" aspect of the city from children. Even the pirate show at Treasure Island has made a turn for the worse. It's now called "Sirens of the TI" and stars "sexy seductresses." We made a special trip over to Freemont Street to show the kids the light show. I was embarrassed because it was full of scantily clothed women putting themselves into compromising positions. My kids were like, "EWWWWW."
Afterall, this is Las Vegas and I guess they call it "Sin City" for a reason.

Pros:    Wow the grounds are fantastic and the pools are good sized and plenty warm.
Cons:   Not the best layouts of units and view from rooms not that good
Review: This is one of WM flagship resorts. The grounds and pools will wow you as they are like resorts that cost a lot more to stay at. The rooms are very nice and about what you expect from a WM. We stayed in one of the newer units and it was a little tight but not as bad as Orlando. The covered parking was nice and the resort location to the rest of town was fine. I personally get bored with 'Vegas quickly, but this resort makes it easier to put up with. The only shows that I feel comfortable recommending are some afternoon shows (esp the Mac King one, he is really funny) and the jousting dinner show at the Excaliber is good fun. This trip we saw the Scintas and were entertained, but worth the $? Hard to say. I heartily recommend this resort as a fun "getaway".

Pros:
Cons:   rooms are very dark. No light over the dining room table. Must go to second desk to obtain parking pass.
Review: We stayed in a 1B room for the weekend. It was quite nice but dark, even with all the lights turned on. The grounds leave a good impression but it is farther from the strip than I envisioned. Rooms were maintained better than I have recently seen at WM resorts.

Pros:    Staff friendly. check in on time. grounds clean.
Cons:   ***We came back on the shuttle from the Strip around 12:00 midnight. We were walking to our building - 5 - and came upon a man urinating outside....lots of noise - young adults - running inside the unit building after 12:00 am and also in the northern most pool - jumping fences/screaming/running etc. Fingernail clippings found in the windowsill of the bedroom, the bathtub plug did not work,no dishtowels in the kitchen, windows dirty, walls had handmarks, extra blanket smelled awful and there were large crusty white places - yuck - did not use it because did not know what those were. Went to an update - the salesperson was friendly at first - asked it we had any comments up front....my husband said we were not interested in travel share. Whoooo - wrong comment - he raised his voice from here on - said why wouldnt we want something that is FREE!!! When we said ok - we will take it if it is free - whoooo major backdown. After this he promptly showed us out!!!! touchy touchy.....not a real good stay this time.....
