Review:

Clear lake is beautiful and the resort grounds are lovely. The nearby town of Lakeport is charming and fun for shopping. The resort is near enough to the Konocti to catch a concert. We saw Don Williams at a dinner show and had a great time. The drive back to the resort in the dark was no problem. I'll be back again for a longer stay. |

The rooms are vaery spacious. The grounds are well kept and there is a lot to do in the area. |

This was the first resort we visited, back in 2002. We were on a trip to California and on the way back we needed a place to stay for one night, so we decided to stay there. I had my daughter, her boyfriend and their kids (my grandkids) along with my girlfriend and my son. I can't describe the feeling when we walked in the room. My duaghter immediately said she wanted to live there. They had the 2 bedroom, and it was almost as big as my house, we had the 1 bedroom and we were all very impressed. In fact, we were so impressed that we stayed there the following year for 5 nights. It still remains the best resorts that I have been to. There were a lot of lake activities, as well as a couple of casinos not too far away and there was plenty to do at the resort (horse shoes was the favorite acitivity for me and my daughters boyfriend). I would highly recommend this resort. It was also very warm while we were there. |

This was our first WorldMark experience. The staff was outstanding! Beautiful grounds and nice suite. The master bedroom was large but rather sparse in furnishings (bed; night stands; TV/dresser combo; chair; picture; artificial plant) leaving the bedroom with an empty feeling. They should have put in a small couch or sitting area to make it more homey. The outside stairwells need a power washing but all else was just right. The big trees on the grounds were very enjoyable to view even making the parking lot a nice place to walk. We were there for two nights, Wed and Thur. Not too many kids around but we enjoyed the few giggling young ones we heard. Also, the ducks were charming.
The rainfall at Clear Lake in June is 2/10ths and I think it all fell on Wed but Thurs and Fri morning were very pleasant. Hubby enjoyed throwing a fishing line in the lake just steps from our suite...a real plus. It looks like this would be a great place for owners with boats. We saw four boats parked in the lot when we arrived.
The history of the "old" lodge was interesting and we were impressed that it had been restored rather than torn down to make room for WorldMark. The two penthouses are privately located in the lodge on either side of the pool which might be a bit noisy at times but would give you no neighbors at night to disturb your sleep.
Studios and 1-Bdrms are on the 1st floor, 2 & 3 bdrms on the 2nd floor with master bedrooms on the 3rd floor (two flights from your car). Courtyard has playground, badminton volleyball net, and horseshoes. There’s a small pay pool table in the main hall of the lodge, an exercise room overlooking the pool/lake and a video game room for the kids.
We haven’t been to Clear Lake in years and were pleasantly surprised that things are improving with new homes being built all around the lake. The lake alternates between algae (not clear at all) to a weed problem (semi-clear six feet) depending on the cycle it’s in. I’ve seen both and I much prefer the weeds...it was very pretty this time. We enjoyed our visit to the Ceago Del Lago Winery and the Lakeport Museum. We will probably return when we have tickets to a Konocti Harbor show.
